There is a private car park at the rear of the hotel, which works on a first-come, first-served basis. There are 11 parking places and parking is free to all guests. The hotel also has a number of permits for resident-zone on-street parking in bays around the hotel. Alternatively, should you want to guarantee parking, the hotel has two lock-up garages for hire at an additional cost per night. The Carfax Hotel currently holds a Mobility Level 2 certificate from VisitBritain. This means that the hotel is defined as 'typically suitable for a person with restricted walking ability and for those that may need to use a wheelchair some of the time and can negotiate a maximum of three steps.' One of the ground-floor rooms is suitable for wheelchair use on this basis and is fitted with bathroom supports and a walk-in shower. The hotel does offer luggage storage and guests are welcome to check in from 08:00 on the day of arrival and leave luggage with reception. However, bedrooms may not be available until after room servicing has concluded around 15:00.
